Authorities said Monday they linked an Oklahoma woman to an attempted burglary after Cheetos residue was found on her teeth, Fox News reported.

A homeowner called police to notify them that someone had climbed through her window Friday while she and her two children were home, according to Fox. (RELATED: REPORT: Woman Arrested In Alleged Burglary Attempt Of Johnny Depp’s Los Angeles Home)

The suspect had removed a screen from the window to climb inside, but fled before taking anything, Fox reported. Officers believe she was scared when she heard the homeowner and her children in the house, ABC Tulsa reported.

The suspect dropped a bag of Cheetos and a water bottle near the window before escaping. She was then identified as the suspect when police found Cheeto residue still on her teeth. Sharon Carr was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, Fox reported. She did not provide a reason for committing the crime, according to ABC.

Burglars in Washington state were also busted after leaving behind evidence. The perpetrators left two sets of footprints in the snow, one of them leading to a dumpster in which one burglar was hiding.

Police say a Florida man died during an attempted burglary in December after a window shut on his neck, suspending him “in air.”
