Nebraska will wear alternate uniforms for the team’s game on September 11.

The Cornhuskers will play Buffalo on the 20th anniversary of the horrific terrorist attack, and they recently released a special video unveiling their white camo uniforms for the game. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The video actually spends little time on the uniform, and is instead focused on honoring first responders and the military.

Give it a watch below.

For those of you who don’t know, the player carrying the flag is Damian Jackson, who is a former Navy SEAL. So, he clearly has a special connection to the military and the flag he’s holding.

I can’t think of anyone involved with Nebraska more qualified to carry the flag than Jackson.

While I drag Nebraska a lot for disappointing fans, I love this video. After the disaster in Afghanistan, we need something to bring us together.

We need something to remind us how great this country is and how many people have sacrificed to make sure it stays that way.

Paying tribute to our great service members and first responders is an awesome way to do it.
