A truck that Denise Richards and her husband were riding in was shot at during a road rage incident in Los Angeles on Monday.

Sources close to the situation reported that Aaron Phypers, Richards’ husband, was having difficulties finding the Popsicle Studio when the driver behind his truck apparently became irritated, began shouting at him and trying to merge in front of him. Phypers eventually relented and let the other driver get ahead of him, but to his surprise, the driver fired at the truck and hit the back end on the driver’s side, according to TMZ.

Neither Richards nor Phypers were injured in the incident, but there was a visible bullet hole in the truck, which prompted someone on set to call 911 shortly after Richards arrived, according to TMZ. Richards was reportedly spotted sobbing on set. It is unclear whether or not police responded to take a report. (RELATED: REPORT: Ariana Grande’s Brother Attacked And Robbed By Teenagers)

The famous actress worked a 12 hour shift despite the incident, and Phypers remained with her the entire time. An off-duty police officer escorted them both to the highway where they continued onward and made their way home, according to TMZ.

Police told Fox News that they currently do not have information to share on the matter.
