Damn, I love NBA All-Star Weekend.

Getting hit with an uptick of travelers during Presidents Day weekend is nothing out of the ordinary for Salt Lake City International Airport, with holiday-goers taking advantage of the break to hit the ski slopes.

However, Presidents Day weekend 2023 will be a lot more ratcheted-up. In fact, it’ll be historic — so historic that it’ll be nothing like the airport administration and security officials have ever seen before. All this because of NBA All-Star Weekend taking place in downtown Salt Lake City in 2023.

Bill Wyatt, executive director of the Salt Lake City International Airport, said a normal “big day” for them is around 30,000 travelers, but over Presidents Day weekend (Monday to be exact), they’re expecting a 40% increase of traffic, which will be over 40,000 travelers. And as far as the rest of the weekend goes: Yes, that will be busy as hell, too. “We’re going to be setting records on all fronts,” Wyatt told KSL.

I absolutely love how Salt Lake City International Airport got completely swagged-out for NBA All-Star Weekend — it truly is one of the most glorious times of the year. Here’s a shot at some more swagoo:

By the way, these guys have a pretty dope airport. Check out how they have a conveyer belt just for ski gear — swag.
