No matter how you feel about Paige Spiranac, you have to respect how she kept it G.

Paige Spiranac has a clear passion for the sport of golf, and she’s gone on to have a lot of success being a top influencer in the game. However, her dream was always to be a professional golfer.

She actually did so for a year before deciding to move on, and during a recent episode of her “Playing A Round” podcast, Spiranac spoke about why her golf career came to an end, saying the pressures of the sport got to her.

“I got the invite to go play in Dubai. I blew up there. I did one year of playing golf professionally, and I was just mentally exhausted,” said Spiranac. “In golf, you fail more than you succeed, and I was doing that in the public eye. Everyone was telling me, ‘You should quit. You should give up. You’re not good.’”

Spiranac kept it real, saying that everything was just too much and it “broke” her, which ultimately led to her decision. (RELATED: SIU-Edwardsville’s DeeJuan Pruitt Absolutely Sucker Punches Tennessee-Martin’s Rifen Miguel Who Was Playing Mind Games)

“All of these things, and I was already dealing with these mental issues of years and years and years of trying so hard and coming up short, and I just broke. I honestly cracked. I broke and I just stopped. I said, ‘Maybe I’ll go back,’ and I’ve never gone back to try and play golf professionally again.”

Hey, golf might have not worked out for you, but at least you’re still getting that money, Paige.
