A man was arrested for stalking at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Montecito home early Monday.

A representative with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a call from Harry and Meghan’s security staff indicating there was a man near their property that required attention, according to TMZ. The man, 29-year-old Kevin Garcia Valdovinos, then approached entrance to their property, and a security agent promptly put him under citizen’s arrest.  The police arrested Valdovinos and took him into custody as soon as they arrived on-scene.

Valdovinos was charged with misdemeanor stalking. He was later released on $2,500 bail, according to TMZ. That particular stalking charge suggested Valdovinos had stalked or trespassed on the Prince Harry and Markle’s property in the past, and it is believed he said something to the security guards that triggered them and prompted his arrest, according to TMZ. The sheriff did not outline the details of that particular interaction, according to TMZ.

It is not clear if Prince Harry and Markle were inside their residence when this incident occurred. (RELATED: Pete Davidson’s Alleged Stalker Sent To Psych Facility)

This is not the couple’s first issue with unwelcome guests. An intruder by the name of Nickolas Brooks made their way from Ohio to their home and trespassed on their property on Christmas Eve, 2020, according to TMZ. He was also apprehended and arrested for trespassing.

No further information has been reported regarding this latest incident, or future court dates for Valdovinos.
