Dylan Mulvaney has been forced to leave America in order to “feel safe” and is on vacation in Peru, the Tiktok star posted on social media Monday.

Mulvaney posted the video as backlash continues against Bud Light, which made the controversial decision to partner with the transgender TikToker in April. As of June, Bud Light is no longer America’s top-selling beer, and the brand’s sales continue to plummet. Bud Light is now cheaper than water in some places, according to the New York Times. “Hi, is this an ok time? Ok, surprise! I’m in Peru, and I’m at Machu Picchu isn’t this just so beautiful?” Mulvaney posted in the video. “I’m here by myself, and I used to do a ton of solo traveling, I’m telling you it’s the best. If you could ever do a solo trip somewhere it is such a good way to get to know yourself better.”

“I’ve done Shaman ceremonies that were like 10 years worth of therapy. It was wild. I’ve seen a lot of llamas, and people here are so kind, I feel very safe here. It’s a little sad that I had to leave my country to feel safe but that will get better eventually. And I am dying for some Trader Joe’s rolled chili lime chips, but other than that I am so content.”

“Still haven’t been kissed yet, but I’m holding out hope,” Mulvaney continued. “And most of all, you know, this trip has me feeling like I’m my own best friend again, and that is the best feeling in the whole world, and I hope you feel that way about yourself too.”

In 2023, six transgender individuals were murdered in Peru, five of which were killed by a mafia of pimps. The murders reportedly occurred due to a “territorial” dispute over control of the sex trade in downtown streets of Venezuela between transgender and biological women.
