Cardi B has never been someone we would credit with good fashion sense, but her latest number has really set the bar as low as it can go.
The Video Music Awards were held in New York City on Tuesday, and she decided to attend the biggest event in music in a dress made entirely out of … hair clips. The only thing left to ask is simply — why? This fashion fail really reminded us that money still can’t buy class.

Cardi B wore a Dilara Findikoglu dress, which was covered in hundreds of different hair clips that were clipped into one another and arranged in swirling patterns.
The all-silver number picked up the lights and flash of every camera as she walked the red carpet, making the dress an even bigger eyesore than it already was.

The clips made it difficult for her to walk, and we can’t even imagine how she would ever find a way to sit down in it. That’s probably why she dared to wear the dress down the red carpet, but quickly changed out of it before the rest of the night’s festivities began.

The famous artist soaked up all the attention she got for her bizarre outfit choice, not realizing that people may have been staring because they were so appalled.
Making matters worse was the fact that the entire dress and shoe number were made of hair clips, but the artist didn’t have a single clip in her actual hair.
If Cardi B wanted to make people talk, she sure did, but thanks to the dress, they’re trashing her.
