Rory McIlroy isn’t going anywhere.

The biggest superstar in the PGA has put an end to the rumors that he was potentially exiting the Tour to sign with LIV Golf for a jaw-dropping $850 million, rumors that started circulating after yet another struggle that took place at the Masters.

McIlroy shot down the rumors while speaking with Todd Lewis of Golf Channel prior to the RBC Heritage. (RELATED: ‘Secure On The Cross’: Masters Champion Scottie Scheffler Tells Story On How Friends Helped Inspire His Victory)

“I’ve never been offered a number from LIV, and I’ve never contemplated going to LIV,” said McIlroy. “I think I’ve made it clear over the past two years that I don’t think that it’s something for me. Doesn’t mean that I judge people that have went and played over there.”

“I think one of the things that I’ve realized over the past two years is that people can make their own decisions for, you know, whatever they think is best for themselves, and who are we to judge them for that? But, personally for me, my future is here on the PGA Tour, and it’s never been any different.”

It was recently reported by City A.M. that sources said LIV offered McIlroy $850 million and approximately 2% equity in their company to join the league, and that a possible deal was even “close.”

And there you have it … Rory McIlroy is staying on the Tour.
