There might be a very real chance that the Ohio State vs. Oregon football game doesn’t happen as scheduled.

Currently, the Ducks and Buckeyes are slated to do battle on the field September 12 in Eugene, but will coronavirus change that? (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The reality is that it might have an impact, and could potentially mean the game doesn’t happen. Fans won’t be allowed at sporting events through at least September in Oregon.

That’s a problem. That’s a big problem for the Ducks and their athletic department. Ohio State might not have any interest in traveling all the way to Oregon to play in an empty stadium.

So, what options are on the table? First, the game could potentially be moved to neutral site where fans would be let in.

Logistically, this could become a nightmare scenario to watch unfold as we’re a little more than 100 days out from kickoff.

Unfortunately, I think there’s a much higher chance the game just gets scrubbed, Oregon schedules somebody else and Ohio State picks up an extra home game against a Group of 5 team.

It sucks, nobody wants to see it happen, it won’t be good for either program but it’s the reality of the situation we’re in.

It’s crazy to think Oregon vs. Ohio State was supposed to be one of the biggest sporting events of the year, and now it might not even happen.
