Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia is showing the passion that I’ve waited to see.

My beloved Lions took another loss Sunday when they dropped a game 14-13 to the Buffalo Bills. They’re now 5-9, and that seems like a great time to start showing some frustration. The head coach didn’t disappoint.

“Look, for us, it’s not different. We go out, we compete, we try to win and we try to f***ing get better every week,” Patricia said following the Sunday loss to the Bills during appearance on WJR, according to MLive.com(RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments Of Week 14 Of The NFL Season)

I’ve got no problem with Patricia dropping an f-bomb during an interview. He should be mad as hell and everybody involved with this disaster of a year should be incredibly frustrated. It’s that simple.

I want to see the passion and the anger. If you honestly care about the season, then you should be pissed that we’re 5-9. I’d be concerned if the coaches and players weren’t. We suck, and that’s the reality of the situation.

I’m not here to sugar-coat anything for you guys. I’m here to give you all the truth, and that’s the truth. The Detroit Lions are awful.

Maybe, Patricia’s words will inspire a little fire in the guys and we can finish strong as we build for next year.
