Cleveland Browns superstar Odell Beckham Jr. doesn’t think the NFL is ready for the season.

Beckham told The Wall Street Journal the following about the upcoming season:
We’re not ready for football season. So why are we trying to push forward? It’s obviously for their money. And that bothers me because there’s always been this—and I hate saying it like that—but the owners’ [attitude is], Oh we own you guys, and just kind of that unfairness going on that they don’t see us as human. I just feel like the season shouldn’t happen and I’m prepared for it to not happen and I wouldn’t mind not having it.
Obviously, NFL players are allowed to feel however they want. Nobody is going to tell players how to feel, but I truly believe the NFL is prepared.
The league has months to prepare for the upcoming season. There’s seriously no excuse to not be ready.

Will we have to remain flexible? Yes. Will there be changes during the upcoming season? Without a doubt, but that doesn’t mean we’re not ready.
The NFL has seemed to do a nice job of keeping everyone safe. Obviously, a lot can change but we haven’t seen anything during the coronavirus pandemic to suggest the league isn’t ready to roll.

Now, OBJ also has the right to opt out. If he’s seriously so concerned, then he should sit the season out. We’ll see him again in 2021.

I truly believe we’ll have the NFL starting in September, and I think it’ll be reasonably smooth. Things might pop up, but I think we’ll be ready to roll.
