Appalachian State vs. Louisiana-Lafayette will reportedly not be played as scheduled.

According to Yahoo Sports, the game between the Ragin’ Cajuns and Mountaineers has been postponed because of coronavirus issues at App. State. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The game had been scheduled for Oct. 7. It’s now expected to be played in December.

This is super unfortunate. The Ragin’ Cajuns vs. the Mountaineers is going to be one of the best games of the year outside of the Power Five.

Both teams are expected to make a real run at the Sun Belt title.

Now, fans will have to wait an extra couple months before we see the two teams take the field to do battle. That’s not what anyone wants to hear at the start of October.

We need as many games as possible happening. We don’t need games being postponed.

Of course, this is just the nature of the beast when you try to play sports during a pandemic. You have to be prepared for the unexpected.

Let’s hope everything gets ironed out sooner than later. Trust me, it’s what the fans want.
