Paul Finebaum thinks Michigan needs to make a decision on Jim Harbaugh’s future immediately.

The Wolverines are currently 1-3 after being humiliated by the Wisconsin Badgers, and just about everyone thinks Harbaugh will leave at the end of the season. However, Finebaum thinks Michigan doesn’t have time to waste. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

“You can’t sit around and wait to mid-December, late December or even January when the NFL season is over for Jim Harbaugh to make that call. You have to make that call now,” Finebaum said Monday during an interview on JOX Roundtable when discussing Harbaugh’s fate, according to Saturday Tradition.

While I understand what Finebaum is saying, I have to disagree with him on this issue. I simply don’t see Michigan firing Harbaugh in the coming days.

Now, I could be wrong about this. I’ve been wrong on a major issue like this before, but I find it very hard to believe he’ll get fired.

Will he be coaching at Michigan next season? Almost certainly not. Will he be fired in the immediate future? I just don’t see how that can happen.

Would it give them a jump on a head coaching search? Without a doubt, but firing Harbaugh just seems so incredibly unrealistic.

Again, I’ve been wrong and I could be 100% wrong here. Either way, we’re in for a real circus in Ann Arbor over the coming weeks.
