Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert said she has dumped the man who publicly fondled her breasts in a theater because he is a Democrat.

Security footage caught Boebert’s date, Quinn Gallagher, groping her in a crowded theater in Denver, Colorado, while she grabbed his crotch in return. The two were kicked out of the theater after being accused of vaping and loudly singing along to songs from the musical “Beetlejuice.” While being escorted out of the venue, Boebert appears to have given an usher the middle finger and asked theater employees, “Do you know who I am?” surveillance footage shows.

Boebert said she has “taken responsibility” for the incident and has will not be going out with Gallagher again.

“It’s always hard whenever there’s gravity put on the voters. I’m here to provide levity and lift burdens off of people, so anytime they’re carrying mine, it’s something that I kind of feel deep inside. But, ultimately, all future date nights have been canceled, and I learned to check party affiliations before you go on a date,” Boebert said in an exclusive statement to TMZ that the outlet posted to Twitter on Monday. “But, all in all, it was mostly a lovely time and, you know, I’ve taken responsibility for my actions. I would love know how the musical ended, and I encourage people to go and see it.”

Gallagher owns a gay-friendly bar called Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar, which has hosted drag shows.

The Colorado congresswoman released a heartfelt apology Friday after the release of the footage. (RELATED: Newly Single Lauren Boebert And Mystery Date Kicked Out Of Musical For Vaping, Singing Along Too Loudly)

“The past few days have been difficult and humbling, and I’m truly sorry for the unwanted attention my Sunday evening in Denver has brought to the community. While none of my actions or words as a private citizen that night were intended to be malicious or meant to cause harm, the reality is they did and I regret that,” she said in a statement. “Whether it was the excitement of seeing a much-anticipated production or the natural anxiety of being in a new environment, I genuinely did not recall vaping that evening when I discussed the night’s events with my campaign team while confirming my enthusiasm for the musical.”

Boebert filed for divorce from her husband of 18 years in May.
