Famous actress Katherine Heigl invited cameras into her hotel room as she prepped and primped for the Emmy Awards, giving fans a close-up of her natural face.
Heigl greeted cameras with no makeup on and blemishes visibly scattered across her face. Her hair was tied back, and she wore a simple terrycloth robe as she spoke with Allure. The famous actress dabbed away at the side of her chin and told fans she had attempted to manage a zit on her own — unsuccessfully. The rare glimpse into the “before” look gave fans more perspective on the transformation the stars undergo before they’re red carpet ready.

Heigl’s real-deal video showcased the side of Hollywood most fans never get to see. The actress seemed confident in her not-so-perfect skin as she opened up about her beauty regime.
“Get ready with me for the Emmys!” she said as she made her way to the bathroom.
“So I made the bold move to try to extract a zit on my own,” she said.
The star admitted that touching her own face didn’t work to her advantage. The inflammation caused by her pimple was displayed for the camera.
“It was a mistake. It’s always a mistake,” she said.

She went on to introduce some of her favorite cruelty-free beauty products and put her myriad of blemish creams and cruelty-free moisturizers on display for her 4.6 million followers.
“I might feel like I really overdid it,” she said to the camera.
Her glam squad then took over her hair and makeup routine, completely transforming the star into an unrecognizable, flawless beauty. This is the look fans are accustomed to seeing.
She smiled for the cameras after her glam-up and showed the world her perfectly touched up face, hair and outfit.
