Police arrested Taylor Swift’s alleged stalker, David Crowe, after attending the star’s New York City residence just two hours after being released from court for stalking her.

This is the third time Crowe has been arrested for lurking around her residence and attempting to gain entry to her home. The first arrest occurred Monday, the second Saturday and the third time Wednesday, according to TMZ.

Video footage showed Crowe smoking a cigarette at roughly 2:00 pm Wednesday, just outside of a McDonald’s that is located two blocks from Swift’s New York City home. Witnesses close to the situation reported that Crowe made his way to Swift’s residence and frightened neighbors called 911 to report the incident to police, according to TMZ.

Crowe had been released on the conditions listed in an order of protection that had been issued during Wednesday’s arraignment on 2 counts of harassment and 1 count of stalking. Police immediately arrested him on a criminal contempt charge when he was located on the famous singer’s property once again, according to TMZ.

Law enforcement sources said Crowe spoke to police during his arrest and told them he was going to take a flight home to Seattle, but police were unable to verify that the trip had been booked and arranged.

Swift was in New York at the time of the third arrest, but it’s unclear if she was inside her townhome at the time. (RELATED: Police Arrest Alleged Taylor Swift Stalker Who Attempted To Gain Access To Her Residence: REPORT)

An enforcement officer connected to the situation noted that Crowe is “aware of what he’s doing and he’s articulate. He is fixated on her and cannot keep away from where she lives,” they said, according to TMZ.

The officer went on to say, “we are doing all we can to protect her.”
