Woooo! Playing with Cam Ward (Miami QB) is going to be a treat! (No Diddy)

While we all patiently wait for the new college football video game to come out, we continuously get updates. Some of them are awesome developments, while others have left us a little nervous, and here we go with another one — and this one falls in the awesome category!

And that’s the fact that “College Football 25” will be riddled with REAL student-athletes.

For the first time in 11 years, EA Sports will be bringing us a college football game, and it’s expected that it will drop sometime in July. The streets are saying that July 19th will be the day, however, it’s nothing but rumors at the moment as EA Sports themselves haven’t confirmed a release date. One of the largest conversations around the game has been the opting in of players, and how many exactly will be doing so. Well, it looks like we have an update, ladies and gentlemen.

The reporter who’s been at the top of the mountain in terms of “College Football 25” coverage is Extra Points’ Matt Brown, and he gave some insight on players opting in Thursday, saying that the number of REAL student-athletes who will be in the game is over 12,800 — up from the previous number of 10,000.

Yeah, we get no Arch Manning (Texas QB), but it appears that we’re getting everybody else, and that’s friggin’ fantastic!

July can’t get here fast enough!
